Novo Receives AIA NH Design Award
Novo Studio Architects is honored to share that our Jackson Square Affordable Housing project has received the Merit Award for Excellence in Architecture Design from AIA New Hampshire.
When designing Jackson Square, our goal was to create affordable housing that people would be proud to call home - a place that feels welcoming, dignified, and uplifting, without the stigma often associated with traditional affordable housing design.
We would like to thank our client, Randy Turmel, for trusting us with his vision, and AIA New Hampshire for recognizing how thoughtful design can strengthen and unify communities.
"Our project was going to be the first of its kind in the area - the beginning of urban change," said Anne Ketterer. "[Randy] wanted Novo to use design to bring something new to the area, to give tenants a feeling of security, a sense of place and the dignity of a nice home. Yes, an affordable home, but a nice home, because affordable housing does not need to mean lesser."
Thank you also to our full project team IMEG/Hayner Swanson, Team Engineering, and Eckman Construction.
We look forward to creating more positive change in our community with thoughtful design.
